Why I Started Coaching

I started my career as a hospital nurse, and my favorite part of the job was teaching. I loved explaining care plans to patients, walking families through next steps, and mentoring newer teammates when things got hectic. I learned how to stay calm, break big problems into simple steps, and communicate clearly under pressure.

When COVID hit, I burned out. I wanted work that fit my life again, so I tried to change industries without a roadmap. I applied across fields to find my path: defense, fintech, med-device, airlines, retail, construction, and more. The more interviews I did, the more I realized I loved the process itself. I enjoyed mapping roles, shaping stories, and improving with each rep. I rewrote my resume at midnight and learned by trial and error. Over time, that trial and error became a system: target the right roles, craft concise STAR stories with real metrics, and practice as if you are already in the room. That is when it clicked for me. My path is to teach this system so others can follow their own.

Today I coach using that same system with a steady, clear teaching style. I work with students, new grads, and career-changers who want a practical plan and a reliable voice beside them. We will tailor your resume, co-write answers you can actually say, run realistic mock interviews, and build a routine that reduces nerves and increases clarity.
